ഫോക് ലോർ ഡോക്യൂമെന്ററി മത്സരത്തിന്  അപേക്ഷകൾ ക്ഷണിക്കുന്നു 

തൃശൂർ ഇന്റർനാഷണൽ ഫോക് ലോർ ഫിലിം ഫെസ്റ്റിവൽ സമിതി, നാട്ടറിവ് പഠന കേന്ദ്രം, സെന്റ് തോമസ് കോളേജ് ചുമ്മാർ ചൂണ്ടൽ ചെയർ എന്നിവരുടെ ആഭിമുഖ്യത്തിൽ ഫോക് ലോർ ഡോക്യൂമെന്ററികൾ ക്ഷണിക്കുന്നു. കോളേജ് തലത്തിൽ നടക്കുന്ന ഫോക് ഗവേഷണ പ്രൊജക്റ്റുകളുടെ ഡോക്യൂമെന്റഷൻ, ഫോക് ലോർ ഡോക്യൂമെന്ററികൾ, മീഡിയ കോളേജുകളിൽ നിന്നുള്ള ഫോക് ലോർ പ്രമേയം ആയിട്ടുള്ള സ്റ്റുഡന്റ് പ്രൊജക്ടുകൾ മത്സരത്തിന് അയക്കാം. സബ്‌മിഷൻ തിയ്യതി ഫെബ്രുവരി 28.

ചുമ്മാർ ചൂണ്ടൽ അവാർഡ്,

​We are going through a very challenging era. In the form of pandemics and in the form of natural disasters. The past corona period made as believe that local is future. But this is what regional people around the world have been telling us for centuries. Folklore is the life and culture traditionally followed by the people.  Different people passed their knowledge to the new generation through songs and stories Mythological stories and origin stories  around the world are the best examples for this, it was not were stories and songs but the mines of their experience and knowledge. They made their own music from the sounds of birds, animals, creeks and forests. They developed the dance by imitating the rhythms of nature. They created myths to identify right and wrong and good and bad. To accommodate the success and failure, they made the games. Each particular groups of people have their own way of life, beliefs and culture and how much they value it can be understood from the unique culture that they follow even today. Today all these regional cultures are drifting a part due to various reasons. On this occasion we should realize the importance of the folklore films and documentaries. By taking advantage of the opportunities of the new age, it is necessary to record the unique culture and traditional knowledge for the future society. The Directors of folklore film and documentaries are performing that duty. The 6th International folklore film festival gives you an opportunity to get a closer look at the different regional cultures that are disappearing from the society. There is an opportunity to watch movies on screen from 1st to 5th January 2023 and online from 2nd to 10th January 2023. More than two hundred films from seventy two countries like Brazil, Iran and Turkey have been selected for screening. IFFF 6th edition delegates have an opportunity to watch documentaries, docufictions and animations films that combine the life culture, customs and beliefs of the regional people of different countries. About forty pictures have been included in the India panorama category. A film screening will be held at to venues of St. Thomas College, seminar will be held at another venue under the director of St. Thomas College and art performances will be held at the Gandhi smrithi open air venue. Sri Kerala Varma College, Vimala College, St. Aloysius college, Govt. College Kuttanellaur, PG Center Thrissur,  Fine Arts College, Thrissur will be the sub venue’s of the film festival. Two key note speeches will be given to commemorate Vijayakumar Menon who made great contributions in the field of art history and folk lore and Dr. C.R. Rajagopalan who was very active in the field of folklore. Everyone is cordially invited to the 6th edition of IFFF to watch movies, participate in seminars and enjoy art performances.
